COAST RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB

Welcome to the Coast Rifle & Pistol Club on the Web
Serving Hancock County, Harrison County, and Jackson County since 1968!

A warm South Mississippi welcome awaits you as we invite you to join us in very fine rifle, pistol, skeet, trap, and archery shooting.

Ranges  2 & 3 are open.  Ranges 1 & 2 remain rimfire only (.22 cal & smaller)

New gate system is now operational. Follow posted directions and heed the warning of gate closure.

Due to a serious complaint filed by our neighbors reporting rounds hitting near where people were working in their dirt pit, we have made some safety changes to our ranges. Although it is not proven that the rounds came from us, we must act as though they did and have taken the following action:

  1.  Removed all metal gongs from the ranges until they can be installed in wooden boxes either imbedded in, or at the base of the berms;
  2. Raised the berm on the 300 yd range;
  3. Lowered target boards to be 3 feet off the ground and moved closer to the berms;
  4. Installing surveillance cameras on the ranges;
  5. Restricting Range 2 to rimfire only (.22 caliber & smaller);
  6. Supervision of Ranges 1, 2 & 3 to maintain safety;
  7. Moved 42 yd berm on Range 3 to 50 yds
  8. Implemented a temporary ban on slide-fire and bump-fire weapons for safety reasons. There are reports of some members’ arbitrary firing of these weapons without impacting the berm, contrary to our rules.

    Whereas we know this may cause some consternation, it is necessary to keep our range from being closed to all. Please bear with us while we go through the repair process to make our ranges safer. We also ask ALL members to report any violations to the Range Safety Officer.

The annual meeting with elections will be held on June 1 at 10:30am. Lunch will be served from The Shed BBQ.

The Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Association has reserved Range 3 May 28th through June 1st. Range 3 will be closed

.50 caliber BMG and .416 Barrett rifles are temporarily banned pending investigation by the CRPC Board. This is a safety issue.
